Residential Care Subsidy Amendment Principles  30 May 2001 (No. 2)

I, BRONWYN KATHLEEN BISHOP, Minister for Aged Care, make these Principles under subsection 96-1 (1) of the Aged Care Act 1997.

1 Name of Principles

  These Principles are the Residential Care Subsidy Amendment Principles 2001 (No. 2).

2 Commencement

  These Principles are taken to have commenced on the commencement of the Compensation (Japanese Internment) Act 2001.

Note   The Compensation (Japanese Internment) Act 2001 commenced on 25 May 2001.

3 Amendment of Residential Care Subsidy Principles 1997

  Schedule 1 amends the Residential Care Subsidy Principles 1997.

 

Schedule 1 Amendment

(section 3)

 

[1] After subsection 21.15 (5)

insert

 (6) The value of a person’s assets is reduced by any compensation payment under the Compensation (Japanese Internment) Act 2001, or the Veterans’ Entitlements (Compensation — Japanese Internment) Regulations 2001, received by the person.
