Reserve Bank (Monetary Policy Board Members) Appointments (No. 1) 2024
I, Jim Chalmers, Treasurer, under subsection 25AB(1) of the Reserve Bank Act 1959 and subsection 4(2) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, appoint the following persons, on a part-time basis, as external Monetary Policy Board members:
(a) Professor Ian Harper AO, for the period beginning on 1 March 2025 until 31 August 2026;
(b) Ms Carolyn Hewson AO, for the period beginning on 1 March 2025 until 28 February 2027;
(c) Dr Iain Ross AO, for the period beginning on 1 March 2025 until 31 August 2028;
(d) Ms Alison Watkins AM, for the period beginning on 1 March 2025 until 28 February 2026;
(e) Ms Marnie Baker, for the period beginning on 1 March 2025 until 28 February 2030;
(f) Professor Renée McKibbin for the period beginning on 1 March 2025 until 28 February 2030.
