EXPLANATORY NOTE

 

VETERANS’ ENTITLEMENTS ACT 1986

      Section 91

 

Repatriation Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (Updating of Incorporated Documents) Instrument 24/2000

 

 

What does the attached Instrument do?

 

It replaces the following references to documents in the Repatriation Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme with up-to-date references:

 

  • the Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits for Approved Pharmacists and Medical Practitioners, having the International Standard Serial Number

 1037-3667, and dated 1 November 1998;

 

  • the Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits constituted by determinations and declarations under Part VII of the National Health Act 1953 by the Minister who administers that Act that are in force as at 1 November 1998;

 

  • the Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits prepared by the Department of Veterans' Affairs, entitled "Repatriation Schedule of Pharmaceutical Benefits" and dated 1 November 1998.

 

Will pre-existing rights be affected?

 

No.  Although the Instrument operates retrospectively it does not disadvantage any person or impose liabilities upon any person.
