1  Name of Regulations

  These Regulations are the Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations 2005.

2  Commencement

  These Regulations commence on 25 November 2005.

3  Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations 2004—repeal

  The Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations 2004 are repealed.

4  Definitions

  In these Regulations:

Act means the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.

member means a member of the Tribunal.

Note: The Act defines Tribunal to mean the Remuneration Tribunal.

5  Fees

  For section 12 of the Act, the following fees are prescribed:

 (a) for the President—$87 343 per year;

 (b) for other members—$42 250 per year.

6  Allowances

  For section 12 of the Act, the travelling allowances to which a Secretary of a Department is entitled for travel on official business within Australia and internationally, in accordance with a determination under section 61 of the Public Service Act 1999, are prescribed as allowances.
