REGULATIONS UNDER THE REMUNERATION AND ALLOWANCES ACTS 1973.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Remuneration and Allowances Acts 1973.

REMUNERATION AND ALLOWANCES REGULATIONS
Citation.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Remuneration and Allowances Regulations.
Remuneration and annual allowance of officer appointed full-time member of Grants Commission.
2. Where a person appointed to hold the office of full-time member of the Grants Commission was, immediately before his appointment, an officer of the Public Service and was, on 29 November 1973, the holder of the office of Secretary to the Department of Housing, he shall be paid, during the period of his appointment (including any period of re-appointment) to the office of full-time member of the Grants Commission, in lieu of the remuneration and annual allowance (if any) payable in respect of that office, remuneration and an annual allowance at the rates per annum respectively applicable to the office of Permanent Head of a Department of the Public Service other than a Department of the Parliament.
