REGULATION UNDER THE DEFENCE ACT 1903-1918.
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Defence Act 1903-1918, to come into operation forthwith.

Regulations for the Australian Military Forces—Amendment.
Regulation 847 (5) is cancelled and the following substituted therefor:—
“In the case of ‘Secret’ or ‘Confidential’ documents for transmission to Head-quarters (other than for the Inspector-General) the outer envelope will be marked 'Urgent' and addressed:—
The Secretary,
Department of Defence,
Melbourne.
The inner envelope will be sealed, indorsed ‘Secret’ or ‘Confidential’ as the case may be, and addressed to the Secretary by name.”
