An Act to amend the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1938.

Preamble.
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1939.
(2.) The Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1938, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1939.
Specification of bounty.
2. Section six of the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1938 is amended by omitting the word “thirty-nine” and inserting in its stead the word “forty”.
Rates of bounty.
3. Section nine of the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1938 is amended by omitting from paragraph (c) of sub-section (1.) the words “and One thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine” and inserting in their stead the words “, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine and One thousand nine hundred and forty”.
