RAW COTTON BOUNTY.

An Act to amend section fifteen of the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934-1935.

Preamble.
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the. Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1938.
(2.) The Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1935, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1938.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
Bounty subject to Financial Emergency Act 1931.
3. Section fifteen of the Raw Cotton Bounty Act 1934–1935 is amended by adding at the end thereof the following proviso:—
“Provided that the foregoing provisions of this section shall not apply in respect of bounty payable upon raw cotton produced after the thirty-first day of December, One thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven.”.
