1 Name of Determinations
These Determinations are the Quarantine Service Fees Amendment Determinations 2002 (No.1).
Note: These Determinations take effect on the day on which notice of the Determinations is published in the Gazette – see Act, subsection 86E(3).
2 Amendment of Quarantine Service Fees Determination 2001
Schedule 1 amends the Quarantine Service Fees Determinations 2001.
Schedule 1 Amendments
[1] Clause 2
insert
AQIS means the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service;
intake period in respect of an equine animal means the period commencing when the animal arrives at a quarantine station and ending when the official quarantine period commences;
official quarantine period in respect of an equine animal means the 14 day period, or such longer period as the Director of Quarantine specifies, ending immediately prior to the animal being released from quarantine, during which no other equine animal arrives at the quarantine station.

$34 per animal per day, for the first 25 animals, plus
$10 per day for each animal in excess of $25 with feed and veterinary supplies to be provided by importer
