REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1974*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1974, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendment of the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations†

Schedule 1 Part I.

Part I of Schedule 1 to the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations is amended by omitting Group 1 and substituting the following group:—

Group 1

Authority for payment of allowances.

2. Each officer or employee who, in the period that commenced on 16 October 1974, and ended on the day immediately before the date of commencement of these Regulations, occupied an office, or performed the duties of an office, specified in Group 1 of Part I of Schedule 1 to the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations during the whole or part of that period is entitled to be paid an allowance of such an amount as would result in the total remuneration of the officer or employee for the whole or part of that period being not less than the total remuneration that would have been payable to that officer or employee if the amendment made by regulation 1 had taken effect on 16 October 1974.
