REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1972.
THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1972, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations†
Certain officers of Third Division to be paid at rates applicable to officers of Fourth Division.
1. Regulation 8 of the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations is amended by omitting the words—
“Technical Instructor, Grade 2
(Department of Civil Aviation, Radio Technical School) ” (first occurring)
and substituting the words—
“Technical Instructor, Grade 2
(Department of Civil Aviation, Electrical Technical School)”.
Allowances payable to certain officers and employees of Third Division.
2. Regulation 9 of the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-section (3) the words “ in the Department of Education and Science”;
(b) by inserting in paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3), after the word “degree” (second occurring), the words “of an Australian college of advanced education or”;

(c) by omitting from the table in that sub-regulation the figures “331”, “662” and “993” (in the Second Column), and substituting the figures “350”, “700” and “1,050”, respectively; and
(d) by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—
“(4) For the purposes of paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3), ‘college of advanced education’ means a college of advanced education within the meaning of the Australian Commission on Advanced Education Act 1971.”.
Salaries payable to officers of Fourth Division—general scales.
3. Regulation 10 of the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the word “on” and substituting the word “an”.
First Schedule.
4. Part I of the First Schedule to the Public Service (Salaries) Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting Group 115 and substituting the following group:—
