PUBLIC SERVICE REGULATIONS (AMENDMENT)

Issued with the Authority of the Public Service Board

Paragraph 97(1)(j) of the Public Service Act 1922 provides that the Public Service Board may, with the approval of the Governor-General, make regulations to prescribe the allowances which may be paid to officers and employees.

The Public Service Board has now provided by a determination under section 82D of the Act for a new allowance which is intended to replace the allowance payable under regulation 95B of the Public Service Regulations to officers and employees performing low flying duties. Accordingly regulation 95B is redundant and is being repealed.

Regulation 1 of the proposed Statutory Rules provides for commencement on 4 December 1982.

Regulation 2 repeals Public Service Regulation 95B.
