REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1964.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1964, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations†

Salaries payable to officers of the Third Division.

1. Regulation 105 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from the table in sub-regulation (8.) the words—

" Communications Officer " (first occurring); and

(b) by omitting from that table the words—

" Senior Communications Officer, Grade 1

Senior Communications Officer, Grade 2

Senior Communications Officer, Grade 3

Senior Communications Officer, Grade 4

Senior Communications Officer, Grade 5 ".

2. Regulation 106 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—

(a) by adding at the end of the table in sub-regulation (3.) the following items:—

and

(b) by omitting paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (12.) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—

" (a) occupies one of the following offices in the Fourth Division:—

(i) Communications Officer;

(ii) Drafting Assistant, Grade 1;

(iii) Flight Service Officer, Grade 1;

(iv) Junior Observer;

(v) Medical Laboratory Attendant;

(vi) Medical Laboratory Technologist-in-training;

(vii) Postal Clerk;

(viii) Radiographer-in-training;

(ix) Technical Assistant, Grade 1;

(x) Telegraphist; or

(xi) Computing Assistant (Female); ".

First Schedule.

3. The First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Second Schedule.

4. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting item 17 and inserting in its stead the following item:—

" 17

Flight Service Officer, Grade 2

1. He shall be paid an allowance at the rate of $124,00 per annum while in charge of the airport at which he is employed.".

Fourth Schedule.

5. The Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting after Group 31 the following Group:—
