REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1968.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1968, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations†

Chairman of Board, & c., to have powers of Permanent Head under these Regulations.

1. Regulation 4b of the Public Service Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub-regulation:—

“ (3.) The Chairman of the Australian Universities Commission has all the powers of, or exercisable by, a Permanent Head under these Regulations so far as those powers relate to the branch of the Commonwealth Service comprising the staff of the Commission, as if that branch were a separate Department.”.

Delegation by Permanent Head.

2. Regulation 4c of the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-regulation (3.), after the words “ Control Board,”, the words “ the Chairman of the Australian Universities Commission,”.

Salaries payable: to officers of the Third Division.

3. Regulation 105 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (6.) the words “ Dental Therapist-in-training ” and inserting in their stead the words “ an office in the Third Division specified or described in the first column of Part IV. of the Fourth Schedule to these Regulations ”.

(2.) Part III. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.
