REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922–1968.*
THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922–1968, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations†
Salaries payable to officers of the Third Division.
1. Regulation 105 of the Public Service Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting sub-regulation (3b.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulations—
“ (3b.) For the purposes of sub-section (2.) of section 30 of the Act, the scale of rates of annual salary payable to a male officer who occupies an office in the Third Division specified in the first column of Part V. of the Fourth Schedule to these Regulations is, subject to sub-regulation (5.) of this regulation, the scale of rates specified in the second column of that Part of that Schedule in relation to that office.
“ (3c.) For the purposes of sub-section (2.) of section 30 of the Act, the rate of annual salary or scale of rates of annual salary payable to a male or female officer who occupies an office in the Third Division specified in the first column of Part VI. of the Fourth Schedule to these Regulations is the rate or scale of rates specified in the second column of that Part of that Schedule in relation to that office.”;

(b) by omitting sub-regulation (4b.); and
(c) by inserting in sub-regulation (5.). after the figure “ (3.) ”, the figure “, (3b.) ”.
Variations of salaries.
2. Regulation 106a of the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-regulation (1.), after the word “ officer ” (first occurring), the words “, other than an officer occupying an office specified in Part VI. of the Fourth Schedule to these Regulations,”.
First Schedules
3.—(1.) Part I. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the First Schedule to these Regulations.
(2.) Part II. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting Group 466 and inserting in its stead the following group:—

Second Schedule.
4. The Second Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting Item 5.
Fourth Schedule.
5.—(1.) Part I. of the Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting Group 23a.
(2.) The Fourth Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the Part set out in the Second Schedule to these Regulations.
