1971 No. 25

REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1968.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1968, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations

Salaries payable to officers of the Fourth Division.

1. Regulation 106 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting after sub-regulation (7.) the following sub-regulation:—

(7aa.) An officer who has not attained the age of twenty-one years and who occupies an office of Apprentice Telecommunications Tradesman shall be paid a rate of salary ascertained by reference to the period of service of the officer in that office in accordance with the table in this sub-regulation if the rate so

ascertained would result in the payment of a higher rate of salary than that otherwise applicable to him under Part I. or Part III. of the First Schedule to these Regulations.

First Schedule.

2.—(1.) Part I. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

(2.) Part III. of the First Schedule to the Public Service Regulations is amended by inserting after Item 3 the following item:—
