Rates of travelling allowances.

1. Regulation 57 of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following table:—

Overtime.

2. Regulation 65 of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (5.) the figures “£1,173” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,298”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (5.) the figures “£1,019” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,144”;

(c) by omitting from sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (8.) the figures “£2,053” and inserting in their stead the figures “£2,358”; and

(d) by omitting from sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (8.) the figures “£1,899” and inserting in their stead the figures “£2,204”.

Saturday duty by certain officers of the Fourth Division.

3. Regulation 65aa of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (5.) the figures “£1,173” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,298”; and

(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (5.) the figures “£1,019” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,144”.

Sunday duty.

4. Regulation 65b of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (6.) the figures “£1,173” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,298”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (6.) the figures “£1,019” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,144”;

(c) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (7.) the figures “£2,053” and inserting in their stead the figures “£2,358”; and

(d) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (7.) the figures “£1,899” and inserting in their stead the figures “£2,204”.

5. Regulation 65c of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (8.) the figures “£1,173” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,298”;

6. Regulation 66 of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (3.) the figures “£1,083” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,188”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3.) the figures “£929” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,034”;

(c) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (17.) the figures “£1,833” and inserting in their stead the figures “£2,098”; and

(d) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (17.) the figures “£1,679” and inserting in their stead the figures “£1,944”.

(4.) Regulation 71 of the Public Service (Parliamentary Officers) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (8.) the figures “£616” and inserting in their stead the figures “£655”;

(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (8.) the figures “£505” and inserting in their stead the figures “£532”;

(c) by omitting from paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (8.) the figures “£858” and inserting in their stead the figures “£913”; and

Grant of retrospective allowance.

9. The Parliamentary Head may authorize the payment of an allowance, in respect of the period that commenced on the third day of December, 1959, and ended on the day immediately before the commencement of these Regulations, to each officer of such an amount as would result in the total remuneration of the officer being not less than the total remuneration that would have been payable to the officer in respect of that period if the amendments made by these Regulations had taken effect on the third day of December, 1959.
