PROPOSAL TO PREPARE A DRAFT MANAGEMENT PLAN

NORFOLK ISLAND NATIONAL PARK
AND NORFOLK ISLAND BOTANIC GARDEN

The current management plan for Norfolk Island National Park and Norfolk Island Botanic Garden will cease to have effect on 13 February 2018.

The Director of National Parks is proposing to prepare a draft of the next management plan for the National Park and the Botanic Garden. When finalised, this plan will guide management of the reserves for a period of 10 years.

The Director invites members of the public to comment on the proposal. Your comments will be considered when preparing a draft management plan for the park and botanic garden. When prepared, the draft plan will then be released for public comment for a period of not less than 30 days.

Comments sent after the 27 August 2017 may not be taken into account in preparing the draft plan.
