This instrument is the Private Health Insurance (Approved Electronic System) Instrument 2026.
2 Commencement
(1) Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3 Authority
This instrument is made under section 333‑16 of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.
4 Definitions
In this instrument:
Act means the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.
5 Approved electronic system
(1) Under section 333-16 of the Act, the Private Health Insurance Rebate Maintenance System maintained by Services Australia is the approved electronic system for the purposes of paragraphs 23-15(3)(a), 23-30(2A)(b) and 279-10(2)(b) of the Act.
