ORDER UNDER SECTION 318B
Postponement of elections for Norfolk Island Regional Council
I, NOLA MARINO, Assistant Minister for Regional Development and Territories and Parliamentary Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development;
ORDER, under section 318B(1)(a)(ii) of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) (NI) (the Act), that the election requirements of the Act in relation to by-elections, and the ordinary election due to be held on 13 March 2021, for the Norfolk Island Regional Council (NIRC) be postponed from the date of this order until 12 months after this order is made by reason of the NIRC being the subject of a public inquiry.
