PARLIAMENT HOUSE CONSTRUCTION AUTHORITY REGULATIONS

EXPLANATORY STATEMENT

 REG. NO. 265 OF 1982

The functions of the Parliament House Construction Authority (the Authority) under section 5(c) of the Parliament House Construction Authority Act 1979 (the Act) are, in addition to the carrying out of the design and the construction of the Parliament House and furnishing reports in respect of such matters, such other matters as are conferred on it by the regulations.

The Parliament House Construction Authority Regulations extend the functions of the Authority to permit it to furnish and equip the Parliament House.

Regulations 1 and 2 deal with interpretation.

Regulation 3 confers upon the Authority, pursuant to section 5(c) of the Act, the function of furnishing and equipping the Parliament House.
