Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act 1975
ORDER UNDER SUBSECTION 68(1)
WHEREAS -
(A) Thi Thanh Hai Nghiem is a foreign person for the purposes of the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act 1975 (‘the Act’);
(B) Thi Thanh Hai Nghiem gave notice under the Act on 25 November 2015 that she proposes to acquire an interest in the Australian land situated at Release 3 Elpis Lot 309, Trugania, VIC, 3029 (‘proposed acquisition’);
I, Kathryn Dolan, as a delegate of the Treasurer under subsection 68(1) of the Act, and for the purpose of considering whether to make an order under section 67 of the Act, PROHIBIT the proposed acquisition by Thi Thanh Hai Nghiem. This order has effect for 90 days which starts on the day it is published in the Gazette.
