For exceptional service to strengthening the defence relationship between Australia and France through his personal commitment, engagement and support to Australia and the near region in successive senior leadership positions.

For exceptional service to strengthening the defence relationship between Australia and France through his personal commitment, engagement and support to Australia and the near region in successive senior leadership positions.

 

Vice Admiral Morio de L'Isle has proven to be a strong supporter of Australia and our near region during a number of successive senior leadership positions. Over a prolonged period he has demonstrated personal commitment and pro-active engagement at every level resulting in enhanced outcomes that will last for decades. The strategic partnership has evolved and deepened under his leadership, leading to superior results aligned to the national interests of France and Australia.
