REGULATION UNDER THE NURSING HOMES ASSISTANCE ACT 1974.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Nursing Homes Assistance Act 1974.

Amendments of the Nursing Homes Assistance Regulations†

Schedule 1.

Schedule 1 to the Nursing Homes Assistance Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting in Part I, after item 2, the following item:—

“ 2a. Balmain Hospital—Glebe Annex only, Glebe.”;

(b) by omitting items 6 and 10 from Part I;

(c) by omitting from items 9 and 28 in Part I the word “ Maternity ”;

(d) by inserting in item 12 in Part I, after the word “ Hospital ”, the words “ (excluding the Fracture Wing) ”;

(e) by omitting from item 16 in Part I the figures “ 21 ” and substituting the figures “ 20 ”;

(f) by omitting from item 16 in Part I the figures and word “ 28a, 28b and 34 ” and substituting the figures and word “ 34, 35, 36 and 42 ”;

(g) by omitting item 9 from Part II and substituting the following item:—

“ 9. Gippsland Geriatric Centre, Bairnsdale.”;

(h) by omitting from item 10 in Part II the word and figure “ and 10 ” and substituting the figures and word “, 10 and 12 ”;

(j) by omitting items 6 and 7 from Part III and substituting the following items:—

“ 6. Moreton Bay Nursing Care Unit, Wynnum.

“ 7. Mount Lofty Senile Annex—Wards 1 to 6 (inclusive) only, Toowoomba.”;

(k) by omitting from item 2 in Part IV the word “ Sanatorium ” and substituting the word “ Hospital ”;

(l) by inserting in item 3 in Part IV, after the word “ Home ” (second occurring), the words “ for the Aged ”;

(m) by omitting from item 4 in Part IV the figures and word “ B1, B4, C1, C2, C3, C4, D2 and D3 ” and substituting the figures and Word “ A1, A2, A4, A5, B1, B3, B4, C1 and C2 ”; and

(n) by omitting from item 24 in Part V the figures and words “ 1 to 10 (inclusive) ” and substituting the figures and word “ 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10 ”.
