Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999
Notification under Section 309(1) –
Related to variation of a Conservation Agreement
On 12 July 2023, a delegate for the Minister for the Environment and Water, varied the Conservation Agreement (the Agreement) in relation to the development of the Edmondson Park Precinct by written agreement with the State of New South Wales.
The Agreement was made under section 305 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 on 20 August 2009, to provide net benefits for the conservation of biodiversity in Western Sydney, including a critically endangered ecological community. The Agreement has been varied in accordance with section 308 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 and clause 7 of the Agreement. The variation is an extension of the timeframe to complete the transfer of ownership of Edmondson Regional Park to the State of New South Wales.
This variation is made in addition to previous variations to the Agreement on 7 September 2011, 18 August 2012, 11 November 2013, 10 December 2013 and 1 February 2019.
