Notification for Public Consultation under EPBC Act for the Lawson North Heritage Management Plan
The former Belconnen Naval Transmitting Station (BNTS) site located in Lawson North, Belconnen ACT is a complex heritage site rich with natural and cultural values
The BNTS site has been recognised as a place with natural and cultural value and has been included in the Commonwealth Heritage List (CHL) under two separate citations since 2004.
Defence Housing Australia (DHA) has prepared a draft replacement Heritage Management Plan for BNTS. Under paragraph 341S(6)(b) of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999, Defence Housing Australia (DHA) welcomes comments on the draft replacement Heritage Management Plan from members of the public, Indigenous People with rights and interests to the place, key stakeholders and community groups by close of business, 20 October 2021 .
