Notice of Standing Committee on Transport and Infrastructure Amendment of Approved Document for the Purposes of the Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue National Model Legislation

 

I, NICK DIMOPOULOS, Chief Executive Officer of the National Transport Commission, publish this notice of amendment of an approved document on behalf of the Standing Committee on Transport and Infrastructure (formerly the Australian Transport Council) for the purposes of the Road Transport – Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue Act 2006 (“the Act”), also known as the Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue National Model Legislation, which is Schedule 1 to the National Transport Commission (Model Legislation – Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue Regulations 2007).

 

The amendment in this notice relates to the approved document ‘form of AFM accreditation certificate, which was approved by the Australian Transport Council on 22 August 2008 for the purposes of s.84(6) of the Act and published in the Commonwealth Government Gazette number GN 38, Wednesday, 24 September 2008. The amendment is as follows:

 

On page 2 of the ‘form of AFM accreditation certificate’

(a)                in the last column of the table, for "14 days2" substitute "14 days"; and

(b)                beneath the table, omit the second footnote.
