Financial Sector (Shareholdings) Act 1998
Notice of Revocation under Subsection 18(3) and Approval under Subsection 14(1)
I, KELLY O’DWYER, Minister for Revenue and Financial Services:
• under subsection 18(3) of the Financial Sector (Shareholdings) Act 1998 (the Act), revoke the approvals previously granted on 14 October 2010 to American International Group, Inc.; and
• being satisfied that it is in the national interest, under subsection 14(1) of the Act, approve American International Group, Inc. and each company specified in Column A of the Schedule, to hold a 100 per cent stake in each of the financial sector companies specified in Column B of the Schedule.
The revocation and the approval take effect from the date that AIG International Holdings GmbH acquires 100 per cent of the shares in AIG APAC Holdings Pte. Ltd. The approval remains in force indefinitely.
