NOTICE OF INTENT TO DRAFT MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR

 BOODEREE NATIONAL PARK

 The Director of National Parks intends to begin drafting the third Booderee National Park Management Plan. The plan will guide management of Booderee National Park for a period of 10 years. Booderee is Aboriginal land and waters owned by the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council (WBACC) and leased to the Commonwealth. Booderee is jointly managed as a national park by the Director of National Parks and WBACC through a Board of Management. The Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community is represented on the Board by Traditional Owners nominated from the WBACC Executive Committee.

The Director of National Parks invites members of the public to provide comments as part of the development of the plan from 25 September to 25 October 2024. Your comments will be considered when preparing the draft management plan for Booderee National Park.

The public will have a second opportunity to provide comment when the draft management plan is released for public comment, in accordance with subsection 368(5) of the EPBC Act, before the draft management plan is finalised.

Comments must be received by 11:59PM AEST 25 October 2024. Comments that are sent after that date or to addresses other than that shown above cannot be taken into account when drafting the management plan.
