Notice of declaration of security regulated port – PORT OF CORNER INLET AND PORT ALBERT

 

 

I, COLIN JAMES SIEVERS, Acting Regional Director, Transport Security Operations,

Office of Transport Security, under subsection 13(1) of the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 (the Act):

 

REVOKE the declaration of the security regulated port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert published in the Gazette (No. S 202, 11 June 2004) on Line no. 5 of Column A (the port)

and shown on the map identified as ‘5. Port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert’ on page 7;

and

 

DECLARE that the area of the port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert intended for use

either wholly or partly in connection with the movement, loading, unloading,

maintenance or provisioning of security regulated ships, the boundaries of which are

shown on the attached map and descriptions, to be a security regulated port.

 

This Notice commences upon publication in the Gazette.

Description of the Security Regulated Port – Port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert

 

The Security Regulated Port of Port of Corner Inlet & Port Albert is that area shown in the map at Attachment 2 - Security Regulated Port - Port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert and contained within and bounded by Longitude and Latitude description (WGS84) defined below.

 

The security regulated port boundary commences:

  • at the Bentley Point Light; at coordinates (Lat. 38 46’ 30.00”S, Long. 146 29’ 30.00”E);
  • then in a south easterly direction to a point located at coordinates (Lat. 38 48’ 24.00”S, Long 146 32’ 30.00”E);
  • then in a south westerly direction to the Corner Inlet Entrance, Channel marker No. 2 navigation buoy located at coordinates (Lat. 38 49’ 12.00”S, Long 146 31’ 24.00”E);
  • then in a north westerly direction to the Corner Inlet Entrance No. 6 navigation buoy located at coordinates (Lat. 38 47’ 03.02”S, Long. 146 28’ 48.59”E);
  • then in a westerly direction to the mean high water mark in vicinity of North East Point, Wilsons Promontory located at coordinates (Lat. 38 46’ 50.68”S, Long. 146 27’ 58.98”E);
  • then in a north westerly direction to the mean high water mark in vicinity of Mount Singapore at coordinates (Lat. 38 46’ 40.45”S, Long. 146 26’ 38.76”E);
  • then in a westerly direction to a point located at coordinates (Lat. 38 46’ 42.00”S, Long. 146 25’ 48.00”E);
  • then in a northerly direction to the Franklin Channel marker No.2 navigation buoy located at coordinates, (Lat. 38 45’ 42.00”S, Long. 146 25’ 18.00”E);
