Notice of Declaration of Security Regulated Port - Port of Bundaberg

Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act

2003

I, ROBERT PUGSLEY, Director Queensland, Transport Security Operations, Office of

Transport Security, under subsection 13(1) of the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 (the Act):

REVOKE the declaration of the security regulated port of the Port of Bundaberg

published in the Gazette (No. S 189, 4 June 2004) on Line no. 17 of Column A (the port)

and shown on the map identified as ‘17. Port of Bundaberg’ on page 21; and

REVOKE Notice M00806 that declared the security regulated port of the Port of Bundaberg; and

DECLARE that the area of the port of the Port of Bundaberg intended for use either

wholly or partly in connection with the movement, loading, unloading, maintenance or provisioning of security regulated ships, the boundaries of which are shown on the

attached map and descriptions, to be a security regulated port.

This Notice commences upon publication in the Gazette.

Description of Port of Bundaberg

The Security Regulated Port of Bundaberg is all of that area of land and water contained within and bounded by a line commencing at Channel Marker No. 1 on the north of the dredged channel in

Harvey Bay nearest the point of latitude 24°45'12.11"S, longitude 152°28'06.78"E, thence

southerly to Channel Marker No. 2 nearest the point of latitude 24°45'18.71"S, longitude

152°28'06.79"E, thence generally west-south-westerly along the geodesic lines sequentially

connecting the channel markers in Hervey Bay and the Burnett River nearest the following

coordinates:

Thence southerly to a point in the Burnett River north of the tug berth at latitude

24°46'03.34"S, longitude 152°22'53.41"E, thence travelling easterly to landfall at a point of

latitude 24°46'03.38"S, longitude 152°22'55.42"E, thence travelling generally south along the

high water mark to a point of latitude 24°46'08.69"S, longitude 152°22'55.59"E, thence

continuing east along the security fence to a point of latitude 24°46'08.45"S, longitude

152°22'56.18"E, thence southerly along the security fencing to a point of latitude

24°46'08.96"S, longitude 152°22'56.20"E, thence continuing generally west along the

fencing to a point of latitude 24°46'09.00"S, longitude 152°22'55.64"E, thence continuing

south along the high water mark to a point of latitude 24°46'14.86"S, longitude

152°22'56.67"E, thence travelling east along the security fencing to a point of latitude

24°46'15.01"S, longitude 152°22'57.84"E, thence travelling south along the security fencing
