Notice of Declaration of Security Regulated Port – Port of Brisbane

Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003

I, PAULINE MARGARET SULLIVAN, General Manager, Transport Security Operations, Office of Transport Security, under subsection 13(1) of the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 (the Act):

REVOKE the declaration of the security regulated port of Port of Brisbane published in the Gazette (GN48,5 December 2012);and

DECLARE that the area of the port of Port of Brisbane intended for use either wholly or partly in connection with the movement, loading, unloading, maintenance or provisioning of security regulated ships, the boundaries of which are shown on the attached map and descriptions, to be a security regulated port.

This Notice commences upon publication in the Gazette.

Description of Port of Port Brisbane

State: Queensland

The Security Regulated Port of Brisbane is that area of land and water contained within and

bounded by a line commencing at a point on the high water mark of the coastline of the state of

Queensland approximately 6 kilometres north of Caloundra Head at 7041585.231 N, 513553.1762

E (point 1); thence generally northerly along the high water mark of that coastline to a point near

Point Cartwright at 7049040.582 N, 513838.0768 E (Point 2); thence north-easterly to a point at

7051515.284 N, 520667.7567 E (Point 3); thence south-westerly around a circular arc of 4 nautical miles radius whose origin is the Point Cartwright Lighthouse to a point at 7043158.495 N,

518268.7463 E (Point 4); thence generally south south-easterly then south south-westerly along

rhumb lines sequentially connecting the following points at the coordinates:

Thence south south-westerly along the rhumb line to a point on the high water mark of the

coastline of Fisherman Island in the State of Queensland closest to 6973972.716 N, 517961.0203

E Along an unfenced boundary through the following points

Thence continuing along a security fence on the north eastern side of Bishops Drive to a point
