NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY IN AUSTRALIA OF DRAFT COMPREHENSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL EVALUATIONS

 

I, Gillian Louise Slocum, Delegate of the Minister for the Environment, in accordance with Regulation 10 of the Antarctic Treaty (Environment Protection) (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 1993, give notice that I have received draft comprehensive environmental evaluations for the following proposed activites:

 

Scott Base Redevelopment.” Prepared under the jurisdiction of New Zealand.

 

Construction and Operation of the Turkish Antarctic Research Station (TARS) at Horseshoe Island, Antartica.” Prepared under the jurisdiction of Turkey.

 

A copy of the draft evaluations may be obtained from the Manager of the Territories, Environment and Treaties Section, Australian Antarctic Division, GPO Box 858 Canberra City ACT 2601, or by phoning (03) 6232 3209.  Electronic copies of the draft evaluations are also available at:
