NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY IN AUSTRALIA OF A FINAL COMPREHENSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL EVALUATION
I, Nicholas John Gales, Delegate of the Minister for the Environment and Energy in accordance with Regulation 14 of the Antarctic Treaty (Environment Protection) (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 1993, give notice that I have received a final comprehensive environmental evaluation and notice of a decision regarding the evaluation for the following proposed activity; “Construction and operation of a gravel runway in the area of Mario Zucchelli Station, Terra Nova Bay, Victoria Land, Antarctica”, prepared under the jurisdiction of Italy.
A copy of the documents received from the foreign party may be obtained from the Manager of the Territories, Environment and Treaties Section, Australian Antarctic Division, Channel Highway, Kingston, Tasmania 7050, or by phoning (03) 6232 3209.
