NOTICE OF APPLICATION RECEIVED UNDER THE
HAZARDOUS WASTE (REGULATION OF EXPORTS AND IMPORTS) ACT 1989

Pursuant to Section 33 of the Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) Act 1989, notice is given that an application has been received from TES-AMM Australia Pty Ltd (TES-AMM), 1 Marple Avenue, Villawood, NSW 2163.

The application relates to the export of up to 120 tonnes of waste dry cell alkaline and zinc carbon batteries from the TES-AMM facility in NSW to Recupyl Espana, Avenida de Lyon, 10 P Industrial Rodano, Azuqueca de Henares, 19200 Guadalajara, Spain. The material is destined for recovery operation R4 Recycling/reclamation of metals and metal compounds.

The waste will be shipped from Port Botany in Sydney and will transit through Singapore, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Egypt and Malta before arriving in Barcelona, Spain, from where it will be transported by road to the Recupyl Espana facility.

The transboundary movement would take place in up to six (6) shipments over a period of up to twelve months, as specified in the permit, if granted.
