AUSTRALIAN COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA AUTHORITY

Telecommunications Act 1997

Subsection 81(1)

NOMINATED CARRIER DECLARATION GRANTED – WORLDVU AUSTRALIA PTY LTD

 

I, Dominic Byrne, delegate of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), being satisfied that:

(a) if this declaration were made, WorldVu Australia Pty Ltd ACN 628 318 963 (the applicant) would be in a position to comply with all of the obligations imposed on the applicant in the applicant’s capacity as the nominated carrier in relation to the network units described below; and

(b) the making of this declaration will not impede the efficient administration of:

(i) the Telecommunications Act 1997;

(ii) the Telecommunications (Consumer Protection and Service Standards) Act 1999 and regulations under that Act;

declare that WorldVu Australia Pty Ltd ACN 628 318 963, holder of carrier licence number 595, is the nominated carrier in relation to all satellite-based facilities – that are used, or for use, to supply a carriage service between a point in Australia and one or more other points in Australia -  in the OneWeb low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation that are owned by Network Access Associates Limited (UK registration number 094 398 90) and that are used for the purposes of supplying a carriage service to the public.
