Telecommunications Act 1997

Subsection 81(1)

 

NOMINATED CARRIER DECLARATION 207 GRANTED – BINARY NETWORKS PTY LTD

I, Dominic Byrne, delegate of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), being satisfied that:

(a) if this declaration were made, Binary Networks Pty Ltd (ACN 132 135 543) (the applicant) would be in a position to comply with all of the obligations imposed on the applicant in the applicant’s capacity as the nominated carrier in relation to the network units described below; and

(b) the making of this declaration will not impede the efficient administration of:

(i) the Telecommunications Act 1997;

(ii) the Telecommunications (Consumer Protection and Service Standards) Act 1999 and regulations under that Act;

declare that Binary Networks Pty Ltd, holder of carrier licence number 483, is the nominated carrier in relation to single line links owned by Burnie City Council (ABN 29 846 979 690) from:

  • Hellyer College to Park Grove,
  • Park Grove to Burnie Council Chambers, and
  • Burnie Council Chambers to Round Hill

that are being used by TasmaNet Pty Ltd (ACN 164 311 175) to connect points of presence.
