HEAVY VEHICLE NATIONAL LAW

New South Wales Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Notice Amendment Notice 2015 (No. 2)

1        Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to make minor amendments to the Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Notice 2014 published in the New South Wales Government Gazette No 15 of 7 February 2014 at pages 348 to 386.

2        Authorising Provision

This Notice is made under Section 117, and Section 23 of Schedule 1, of the Heavy Vehicle National Law.

3        Commencement Date

This Notice commences on the date of publication.

4         Amendments of 2014 Notice

The New South Wales Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicles Notice 2014 APPENDIX 2 is amended as follows—

(1)    In the final row, third column of the table under 2.1.1 Week day and peak hour travel restrictions:

omit – ‘If wider than 3.2m – Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 9.30 am; and Monday to Friday 3 pm to 6 pm (except on Statewide public holidays)’ and;

insert – ‘If wider than 3.2m – Monday to Friday 7.30am to 9.00am and Monday to Friday 3pm to 6pm (except on Statewide public holidays)’.

(2)    In row 4 of the Table under 2.1.2 Night Travel:

omit ‘Between Nepean River at Emu Plains and Bowenfels’  and;

insert  ‘Between Nepean River at Emu Plains and the Castlereagh Highway at Marrangaroo’.

(3)    In  table under clause 2.1.2(b) omit

New England Highway (HW9)

Between Weakleys Drive at Beresfield and Thomas Mitchell Drive (for northbound travel) or Muscle Creek Road (for southbound travel) south of Muswellbrook

Hunter Expressway (6011)

Between the M1 Pacific Motorway (6003) near Seahampton and the New England Highway (HW9) near Branxton

 

(4)    Insert a new sub-clause 2.1.2 (c):

‘(c)  Vehicles wider than 2.5 metres or longer than 22 metres are not permitted to travel between sunset and 10:00pm. Such vehicles are permitted to travel between 10:00pm and sunrise on the following roads when the vehicle is accompanied by at least one pilot vehicle.

And insert the following table under 2.1.2 (c):

Between the intersection of the M1 Pacific Motorway and the Hunter Expressway

Weakleys Drive

Between the F3 Sydney Newcastle Freeway and New England Highway

 

 

(4)     In the Table under 3.1 Police omit ‘(02) 8882 1219’ and insert ‘(02) 8882 1436’
