This instrument is the Net Zero Economy Authority (Yallourn Power Station Trigger Notice) Instrument 2025.
2 Commencement
This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
3 Authority
This instrument is made under made under subsection 9(2) of the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.
4 Definitions
Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in section 5 of the Act, including the following:
(a) National Electricity Rules; and
(b) trigger notice;
In this instrument:
Act means the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.
Dispatchable Unit Identifier has the same meaning as in the National Electricity Rules
5 Trigger notice specification
(1) For the purposes of subsection 9(2) of the Act, the following is a trigger notice:
(a) the notice given to the Australian Energy Market Operator under the National Electricity Rules 2.10.1(a)(2) advising of the closure date of 1 July 2028 in relation to the following Dispatchable Unit Identifiers:
(i) YWPS1
(ii) YWPS2
(iii) YWPS3
(iv) YWPS4
