1 Name

This instrument is the Net Zero Economy Authority (Gladstone Power Station Trigger Notice) Notifiable Instrument 2026.

2 Commencement

This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3 Authority

This instrument is made under made under subsection 9(2) of the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.

4 Definitions

Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in section 5 of the Act, including the following:

(a) National Electricity Rules; and

(b) trigger notice.

In this instrument:

Act means the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.

Dispatchable Unit Identifier has the same meaning as in the National Electricity Rules.

5 Trigger notice specification

For the purposes of subsection 9(2) of the Act, the following is a trigger notice:

the notice given to the Australian Energy Market Operator under the National Electricity Rules 2.10.1(a)(2) advising a closure date of 31 March 2029 in relation to the following Dispatchable Unit Identifiers:
