1  Name

This instrument is the Net Zero Economy Authority (Eraring Power Station Geographic Area) Instrument 2025.

2  Commencement

 This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.

3  Authority

 This instrument is made under subsection 8(1) of the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.

4  Definitions

Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in section 5 of the Act, including the following:

  1.       National Electricity Rules; and
  2.       geographic area.

In this instrument:

Act means the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.

Statistical Area Level 3 has the same meaning as in the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) Edition 3.

Dispatchable Unit Identifier has the same meaning as in the National Electricity Rules.

  1.         Geographic area specification
  1.                For the purposes of subsection 8(1) of the Act, this instrument specifies the following Statistical Areas Level 3 as the geographic area in relation to the Dispatchable Unit Identifiers ER01, ER02, ER03 and ER04:
  1.                 Lake Macquarie – East
  2.                 Lake Macquarie – West
  3.                 Lower Hunter
  4.                 Maitland
  5.                 Newcastle
  6.                  Port Stephens
  7.                 Wyong
