This instrument is the Net Zero Economy Authority (Collie Power Station Trigger Notice) Instrument 2026.
2 Commencement
This instrument commences on the day after it is registered.
3 Authority
This instrument is made under made under subsection 9(2) of the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.
4 Definitions
Note: A number of expressions used in this instrument are defined in section 5 of the Act, including the following:
(a) trigger notice;
In this instrument:
Act means the Net Zero Economy Authority Act 2024.
facility has the same meaning given by cl 2.29.1B of the Electricity System and Market Rules.
Electricity System and Market Rules has the same meaning as in the Electricity Industry Act 2004 (WA).
5 Trigger notice specification
The notice that was given in accordance with cl 4.4A.1 of the market rules to the Australian Energy Market Operator Limited (ACN 072 010 327) advising of the expected 1 October 2027 closure of the facility COLLIE_G1 is specified as a trigger notice.
