REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVIGATION ACT 1912‑1920.
I, THE GOVERNOR‑GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912‑1920, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations.
(Statutory Rules 1923, No. 66, as amended by Statutory Rules 1923, No. 102.)
1. Regulation 9 of the Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from the table therein the item—
“Australport | Port Adelaide | 10 | 1 | 2” |
and inserting in its stead the item—
“(b) Australport | Port Adelaide | 10 | .. | ..”; and |
(b) by adding, at the end thereof, the following sub‑regulation:—
“(3) Until otherwise prescribed, the number of seamen to be carried by the undermentioned ships as deckhands shall, in lieu of the number prescribed by Schedule II. to the Act, be as follows:—

2. Regulation 12 of the Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof the following sub‑regulation:—
“(3) Until otherwise prescribed, the number of greasers to be carried by the undermentioned ships shall, in lieu of the number prescribed by Schedule II. to the Act, be as follows:—

3. Regulation 13 of the Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from sub‑regulation (2), inserted by Statutory Rules 1923 No. 102, the figure “(2)”, and inserting in its stead the figure “(3)”; and
(b) by adding, at the end thereof, the following sub‑regulation:—
“(4) Until otherwise prescribed the number of firemen and trimmers to be carried by the undermentioned ship shall, in lieu of the number prescribed by Schedule II. to the Act, be as follows:—

4. Regulation 19 of the Navigation (Manning and Accommodation) Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub‑regulation (2) the figures “10” and inserting in their stead the figures “18”.
