REGULATION UNDER THE NAVIGATION ACT 19121

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Navigation Act 1912.

AMENDMENTS OF THE NAVIGATION (EXAMINATION OF ENGINEERS) REGULATIONS 19642

Interpretation

  Regulation 4 of the Navigation (Examination of Engineers) Regulations 1964 is amended 

 (a) by inserting in sub-regulation (1) after the definition of miles the following definition:

Principal Examiner means the person appointed by the Minister to be the Principal Examiner of Engineers, being a person for the time being holding or performing the duties of an office of Marine Education Officer, Grade 2, in the Department of Transport;; and

 (b) by omitting from that sub-regulation the definition of the Principal Examiner.
