REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVIGATION ACT 1912*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Navigation Act 1912.

AMENDMENTS OF THE NAVIGATION (COMPASS) REGULATIONS†

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 1978.

Examination fee

2. Regulation 12a of the Navigation (Compass) Regulations is amended by omitting “ Ten dollars ” and substituting “ $15 ”.

Fees for adjustment of compasses

3. Regulation 17 of the Navigation (Compass) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the table in sub-regulation (2) and substituting the following table:

(b) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (3) “ Eleven dollars ” and substituting “ $17 ”;

(c) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3) “ Nine dollars ” and substituting “ $14 ”;

(d) by omitting from paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (3) “ Five dollars ” and substituting “ $8 ”;

(e) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (4) “ Ten dollars ” and substituting “ $15 ”;

(f) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (4) “ Seven dollars ” and substituting “ $11 ”;

(g) by omitting from paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (4) “ Five dollars ” and substituting “ $8 ”;

(h) by omitting from sub-regulation (5) “ Three dollars ” and substituting “ $5 ”;

(i) by omitting from sub-regulation (5) “ Twelve dollars ” and substituting “ $18 ”; and

(j) by omitting from sub-regulation (6) “ Five dollars ” and substituting “ $8 ”.
