REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1975.*

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1975.

Amendments of the Naval Reserve Cadets Regulations†

Special allowance.

1. Regulation 18 of the Naval Reserve Cadets Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulations (4) to (8) (inclusive).

Pay-officers and instructors.

2. Regulations 19 and 20 of the Naval Reserve Cadets Regulations are repealed and the following regulation substituted:—

“ 19. An officer or instructor who, with the approval of the Naval Board, attends, for a period, a continuous training camp is entitled to be paid pay in respect of that period at the rate specified in relation to his rank in the following table:—

Marriage allowance.

3. Regulation 21 of the Naval Reserve Cadets Regulations is amended by omitting the words “ is payable ” (second occurring) and substituting the words “ was, immediately before the commencement of the amendments of the Naval Financial Regulations declared to be the relevant amendments for the purposes of regulation 17 of the Defence Force (Reserves) (Financial) Regulations, payable ”.

Efficiency.

4. Regulation 26 of the Naval Reserve Cadets Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (1) the word “ sixty ” and substituting the figures “ 50 ”.
