REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1973.

Amendments of the Naval Financial Regulations†

Active pay of members.

1. Regulation 272 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the table in sub-regulation (2) and substituting the following table:—

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (3) the words “ Seventeen dollars sixty-five cents ” and substituting the words “ Eighteen dollars thirty-seven cents ”;

 (c) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (4) the words “ Nineteen dollars twelve cents ” and substituting the words “ Nineteen dollars eighty-seven cents ”;

(d) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (4) the words “ Twenty dollars ten cents ” and substituting the words “ Twenty dollars eighty-seven cents ”;

(e) by omitting the table in sub-regulation (5) and substituting the following table:—

and

(f) by omitting from sub-regulation (7) the words “ Seven dollars twenty-five cents ” and substituting the words “ Seven dollars seventy-seven cents ”.

Sixteenth Schedule.

2. The Sixteenth Schedule to the Naval Financial Regulations is repealed and the following Schedule substituted:—

SIXTEENTH SCHEDULE Regulations 259c and 259d

Rates of Active Pay—Female Members of the Citizen Naval Forces when not entitled to Active Pay under Regulation 259

Nineteenth Schedule.

3. The Nineteenth Schedule to the Naval Financial Regulations is repealed and the following Schedule substituted:—

Rates of Active Pay of Men (other than Recruits) in Respect of Service, other than Continuous Full-Time Service, as a Member of the Citizen Naval Forces or the Naval Emergency Reserve Forces

Application.

4. The rates of active pay provided for in the Naval Financial Regulations as amended by these Regulations apply in relation to service, other than continuous full-time service, by a member of the Citizen Naval Forces or of the Naval Emergency Reserve Forces on and after 31 May 1974.
