REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1973.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1973.

Amendments of the Naval Financial Regulations†
Hard-lying money.
1. Regulation 119 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (3) and substituting the following sub-regulation:—
“ (3) The rate at which hard-lying money is payable is One dollar per day.”.
Active pay of members.
2. Regulation 272 of the Naval Financial Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting the table in sub-regulation (2) and substituting the following table:—

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (3) the words “ Eighteen dollars thirty-seven cents ” and substituting the words “ Twenty dollars sixty-six cents ”;
(c) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (4) the words “ Nineteen dollars eighty-seven cents ” and substituting the words “ Twenty-two dollars thirty-three cents ”;
(d) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (4) the words “ Twenty dollars eighty-seven cents ” and substituting the words “ Twenty-three dollars forty-five cents ”;
(e) by omitting the table in sub-regulation (5) and substituting the following table:—

Application.
5. The rates of active pay and hard-lying money provided for in the Naval Financial Regulations as amended by these Regulations apply in relation to service, other than continuous full-time service, by a member of the Citizen Naval Forces or of the Naval Emergency Reserve Forces on and after 1 July 1974.
