REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1918.
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1918, to come into operation forthwith unless otherwise specified herein.

Amendment of Naval Establishments Regulations.
(Statutory Rules 1916, No. 243, as amended to present date.)
1. Regulation 85 is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—
“(1) A sum not exceeding ten pounds (£10) may be allotted annually for distribution as prizes to apprentices at Naval Establishments.”
2. Regulation 89 is amended as follows:—
(1) by omitting sub-regulation (4) thereof as from 1st July, 1920, and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—
“(4) The following rates of pay and allowances shall be paid to members of the Naval Dockyard Police appointed to Naval Establishments:—

On first appointment, uniform as approved by the Naval Board shall be provided as Government expense, or a uniform gratuity in lieu may be paid at the following rates:—

(2) by inserting immediately after the scale of pay in sub-regulation (4) thereof, as from 1st November, 1920, the following paragraph:—
“Members of the Naval Dockyard Police shall also be paid the Basic Wage Allowance and Child Endowment at the rates and under the conditions prescribed in the Commonwealth Public Service Regulations.”
