REGULATIONS UNDER THE NAVAL DEFENCE ACT 1910-1934.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Naval Defence Act 1910-1934.

Amendments of the Naval Establishments Regulations.†
Rates of Pay.
1. Regulation 43 of the Naval Establishments Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from the table set out in sub-regulation (1) the positions “Foreman (Trades), Grade A1” and “Foreman (Trades), Grade A” and the particulars shown opposite those positions and inserting in their stead the following positions and particulars:—

(f) by omitting from that table the figures “312” and “348” shown opposite the position of “Leading Examiner, Navy Office” and inserting in their stead the figures “360” and “372”, respectively;
(g) by inserting in that table, after the position of “Leading Examiner, Navy Office”, the following positions and particulars:—

Commencement.
2. (1.) The following amendments effected by the last preceding regulation shall be deemed to have come into operation on the seventh day of March, 1938:—
(a) the amendment effected by paragraph (a), in so far as it relates to “Superintending Examiner, Navy Office”;
(b) the amendments effected by paragraphs (e) and (f) ; and
(c) the amendment effected by paragraph (g), in so far as it relates to “Senior Examiner, Navy Office ”.
(2.) The following amendments effected by the last preceding regulation shall be deemed to have come into operation on the sixth day of April, 1938:—
(a) the amendment effected by paragraph (a), in so far as it relates to “Foreman (Trades) ‘A1’” and “Foreman (Trades) ‘A’”; and
(b) the amendment effected by paragraph (b).
